Owen Leonard
ABOUT:
Owen Leonard is a creative, multidisciplinary artist. While specialising in Aerial Hoop, he is highly versatile across all aerial, acrobatic and manipulation disciplines. From his extensive experience in youth circus, Owen has an easy confidence onstage and is a true team player backstage. While he started his career in traditional circus, Owen has since trained and performed extensively in contemporary circus and is comfortable across all circus mediums.
In addition to being a professional circus artist, Owen is an accomplished lighting designer and operator. Having studied on Broadway with Don Holder, he is capable in all production aspects whether he is in the spotlight or directing it. Owen’s technical and problem-solving abilities will guarantee you a successful event. Owen is a both a leader and an innovator. With over 15 years of circus and theatre experience, Owen is bound to take your production to the next level.

OWEN’S TRAINING:
Owen has trained with a wide variety of world-class circus artists since the age of 5. Currently he trains at the New England Center for Circus Arts majoring in Aerial Hoop. From 2016 to 2018, Owen trained in Montreal, Canada with coaches from École Nationale de Cirque and Cirque du Soleil including Yury Bozyan, Vladislav Zolotarev and Rodleigh Stevens. In 2017, Owen worked with the coaches from the Circus Warehouse in New York City. Over the years, he has also had the benefit of training with the world-renowned Tito Gaona, the famous Wallenda wire-walking family and Emmy-award winning Steve Smith. Owen spent his childhood and teenage years at the Sailor Circus Academy in Sarasota, Florida. Since the age of seven, he has been enhancing his circus training by participating in musical theatre, ballet, jazz, contemporary dance and theatre. Owen has been seen performing all over the world including in Wenatchee, WA, Sarasota FL and on the National Mall in Washington D.C.
